We're thrilled to mark the 20th anniversary of the Active Schools Programme!

Funded by sportscotland and Stirling Council, the Active Schools Team is dedicated to making sure every pupil in Stirling has the chance to participate in Sport and Physical activity. We continually strive to offer as many extra-curricular opportunities as possible.

Active Stirling’s goal is to create strong connections to local sports clubs and community activities. By working closely with school staff, we recruit, train, and support parent and community volunteers to lead these activities. We’re also committed to empowering young people as leaders in their communities through leadership programmes, events, and competitions. Additionally, we deliver inclusive SportAbility activities for school children, young people, and adults with disabilities or additional support needs.

We’re delighted to celebrate 20 years, and we are excited as always for this new academic year. The Active Schools programme continues to evolve and develop to meet the needs of our children and young people. It’s a privilege to be an integrated part of our learning communities. We love working with our schools, volunteers and partners to get young people more active more often.
