We’re thrilled to be part of the national Women and Girls in Sport campaign, aimed at inspiring and empowering females of all ages to get active!

Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week runs from Monday 30 September to Sunday 6 October, offering a perfect opportunity to encourage women and girls to engage in sports and physical activities.

This initiative is about leadership—supporting females to take the lead, create opportunities, and celebrate diverse ways to stay active. No matter your age or fitness level, you can make a difference and inspire others to get moving.

Our Mission at Active Stirling

At Active Stirling, our goal is to increase the visibility of women and girls in sport, address the unique challenges they face, and collaborate with local sports clubs, schools, and the Stirling community to expand opportunities for female participation.

We’re committed to working closely with women and girls, helping them overcome barriers, and highlighting the many physical, mental, and social benefits that come with being active.

How We’re Creating Change

Our Community Activation and Active Schools Team are dedicated to providing more opportunities for women and girls to engage in sports. Through partnerships with local clubs, schools, and the Stirling community, we’re working to bring a wider variety of activities to inspire lasting participation.

Here’s how we’re making an impact:

  • Increasing the visibility of women and girls in sport.
  • Addressing challenges that set back participation.
  • Inspiring change through collaboration and shared influence.

By working together, educating, and hosting events, Active Stirling is eager to make a positive and lasting difference in the lives of women and girls in sport.

Empowering Scottish women and girls in sport isn't just about breaking records; it's about breaking barriers. Let's celebrate their strength, resilience, and passion. We aim to support females in sports and physical activity by creating opportunities for participation at all ages, highlighting the many physical, mental & social wellbeing benefits of sport & physical activities and celebrating the inspiring females in sport & physical activity from across Stirling.
