The final Fun in Athletics event of 2024 for Stirling’s primary schools was an incredible success!

This event brought together young athletes from across Stirling to celebrate their skills, teamwork, and passion for sport.

Six schools proudly represented their learning communities:

  • Strathblane Primary School – Balfron Learning Community
  • St. Mary’s Primary School – Bannockburn Learning Community
  • Newton Primary School – Dunblane Learning Community
  • Thornhill, Deanston & Kincardine-in-Menteith Primary Schools – McLaren Learning Community
  • Allan’s Primary School – Stirling Learning Community
  • Bridge of Allan Primary School – Wallace Learning Community

Throughout the day, pupils enthusiastically took part in a variety of athletic challenges, including:

  • Field events: javelin, speed bounce, standing long jump, standing triple jump, chest push, and vertical jump
  • Track events: over-under relay, obstacle relay, paraluf, and sprint relays

The event provided a fun, dynamic, and inclusive environment for children to develop their skills and embrace the joy of being active.

It was fantastic to see six schools from different learning communities coming together and competing at such a high standard. A big congratulations to the winners, Strathblane Primary School from the Balfron Learning Community!
