Empowering Women and Girls in Sport

At Active Stirling, we're committed to creating pathways that encourage more women and girls to get involved in sport and physical activity. Our goal is to raise awareness about the lifelong benefits of staying active, while promoting inclusivity and breaking down barriers to participation.

Women and Girls in Sport is a national initiative that aims to transform the sporting landscape for women and girls!

Our mission at Active Stirling is to increase the visibility of women and girls in sports, address the challenges they face, and work closely with local clubs, schools, and the Stirling community to offer more opportunities for female participation.

How will Active Stirling support Women and Girls in Sport?

Through collaboration, education, and events, Active Stirling is dedicated to creating a positive, lasting impact on the lives of women and girls in our community.

Here’s how we’ll make a difference:

  • Educate: We’ll promote the role of sport in driving gender equality, while also highlighting how staying active benefits the physical, mental, and social well-being of women and girls in Stirling and beyond.
  • Participate: We aim to increase female participation by supporting more women and girls to engage in sports, whether that’s through playing, coaching, working, or leading within the local sporting community.
  • Celebrate: We’ll celebrate and promote the achievements of inspiring women and girls in sport throughout Stirling, shining a light on their successes and stories.
