About

Inspire Stirling’s Youth is a project funded by Young Start and delivered by Active Stirling. The project allows young people aged 16-26years to use sport and physical activity as a tool to prepare for employment, support young peoples health and well being as well as open doors to new opportunities.

As a member of Inspire you will be mentored by our coordinator who will set achievable goals specific to your lifestyle and future education or employment.

As a group, we partner with others in the Stirling community, increasing a wide range of knowledge and opportunity. We collaborate with schools, clubs, sports facilities, and support large events allowing young people a positive experience in sport.

Our vision

Inspire Stirling’s Youth has three aims created by the young people in our community.

Deliver free and accessible sport to young people in Stirling.

Upskill young people aged between 16-26years through training, delivery, and work experience in preparation for a future career, further education, or a sustainable and positive lifestyle.

Engage with young people through a mentoring programme specifically tailored to each young person depending on their age, stage, and future vision.

Mentoring

Inspire Stirling’s Youth also supply individual and group mentoring. Your mentor will supply individual opportunities to suit your personal goals, lifestyle, or career choice. In addition, your mentor will supply opportunities for discussions working around your routine, allowing a time out to build on confidence training and wellbeing. This is an opportunity for you to try something new, socialise and challenge yourself. A background in sport or physical activity is not needed. We only use this as a tool to enhance your experience and increase well-being.
