Welcome to Fit For Girls Stirling!

Fit For Girls is a national programme in partnership with sportscotland and the Youth Sport Trust. This initiative aims to create a supportive and inclusive community that inspires women and girls of all ages to embrace physical activity for better health, confidence, and well-being.

Here at Active Stirling, our Active Schools Co-ordinator, Grace Morrison, shares how the Fit For Girls programme in Stirling will inspire and support young girls, helping them build confidence, resilience, and ensuring equal opportunities for girls all over Scotland.

We are excited to collaborate with and learn from our Fit For Girls Ambassadors. Empowering girls to support one another is essential for creating a safe and positive environment in sports. We look forward to hearing about your projects in the Stirling Community and seeing the difference you'll make in your schools.

How will Active Stirling support Fit for Girls?

Our Active Schools team, in collaboration with sportscotland, is thrilled to offer a series of workshops throughout the year. These workshops are designed to provide girls with the resources and tools required to make a positive impact and create inclusive opportunities within the Stirling community. Together, we'll break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and inspire lasting positive change in the lives of women and girls across Stirling.

Young girls will also have the chance to co-deliver exciting events and celebrations, including Active Girls Week in October and Women and Girls Week in March.
