As part of Scottish Women and Girls in Sport initiative, we were thrilled to host our annual Active Girls Event for the 3rd year running.

Over 100 secondary school girls from Dunblane, Wallace, Stirling, Bannockburn, St Modan’s and Balfron High Schools gathered at The PEAK for an action-packed day of fun and fitness.

Co-delivered by our Fit for Girls Ambassadors, the event was a huge success with smiles and laughter throughout. The girls truly did themselves proud!

The goal of this initiative is to inspire women and girls to get involved in sports, break down stigmas around teenage girls trying new activities, and empower them to lead as future role models. It’s about leadership, supporting females with opportunities, and celebrating diverse ways to stay active. No matter your age or fitness level, you can make a difference and inspire others to get moving.

The day featured a variety of activities, including fitness classes, curling, sports hall games, and workshops delivered by Fit for Girls Ambassadors from Sportscotland. There were also information stalls to offer additional resources and support.

Let’s check out the highlights and watch the girls in action:

Our Active Girls Event was an incredible day filled with inspiring moments as young female role models took the lead and enjoyed a fun-filled day of sports and activities. A huge thank you to all the schools that participated, and to the Fit For Girls ambassadors for their support and leadership throughout the event.
