This qualification is recognised by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations Act, and employers are required to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities, and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work.
This course will help you deal with any medical emergencies and give you the ability stay calm and focused and give you an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of being a First Aider.
- Age 16 or over
- Learners must be able to kneel on the floor to deliver Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
During this course you will learn:
- Emergency First Aid in the workplace
- Emergency First Aid at Work qualification covers all the main workplace first aid situations you might need to deal with including managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, bleeding, and wounds, along with other minor injuries
- 1-day course, including assessment day

The SQA Emergency First Aid at Work qualification enables learners to progress onto qualifications at the same level or above
